Silicon carbide (SiC) ceramics

SiC is a ceramic with strong covalent bonding and has a hardness that exceeds that of alumina. It is particularly excellent in high-temperature strength and also has superior corrosion resistance.

Due to its high hardness, it also possesses strong resistance to sliding wear. Its thermal conductivity is also high. Silicon carbide (SiC) is used in internal components of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and LED manufacturing equipment, as well as in substrate trays for etching devices and firing jigs (such as for capacitors). Silicon carbide (SiC) takes advantage of its heat resistance (even above 1,000 degrees), chemical resistance (plasma resistance), good wear resistance, thermal conductivity, density, and strength. How about this usage → Since thin products can be made with SiC, please consider using it as trays or setters for better thermal efficiency. It is possible to use thin SiC plates for firing furnace setters for electronic substrates.

3D Printing IntrinSiC(R)

Please utilize our 3D printing technology for ceramic parts in innovative solutions.

With our company's 3D printing technology, we redefine the traditional shapes and applications of silicon carbide (RBSiC), enabling the emergence of next-generation technologies. For the first time, we have been able to manufacture silicon carbide with hardness comparable to diamond as a ceramic component using 3D printing with IntrinSiC(R). By utilizing this 3D printing technology, new freedoms in design and engineering are created. For example, undercuts and cavities can be realized, and designs and shapes can be easily modified with a mouse click on a computer. There is no need for time-consuming mold fabrication at all. The RBSiC material stands out due to its thermal shock resistance, advanced oxidation and corrosion resistance, high bending strength and creep resistance, and its industry-leading high density. 【Features】 - Monolithic and integrated manufacturing of large, long, and complex shapes is possible - High process and design flexibility - Short production lead times and delivery - No molds required - immediate production of parts using CAD data - High hardness material that can be polished to a finish close to diamond

Silicon nitride ceramics Fujiroi FCS07

We process a wide variety of shapes through near-net shape sintering of ceramics and high grinding processing technology developed with various hard metal molds!

The newly developed FCS07 has dramatically improved strength, wear resistance, and toughness compared to conventional materials! Ceramics, known as "difficult-to-machine materials," can be ground but are difficult to process with electrical discharge machining... However, At Fuji Dice, we can process ceramics into a wide variety of shapes thanks to our "near-net sintering" of ceramics and our "high grinding processing technology" cultivated with various carbide molds! Additionally... We can incorporate ceramics into steel materials in parts (such as heat-treated and cooled components)! This allows us to minimize the use of expensive materials, enabling cost reduction and reinforcement of low-strength ceramics! [Applications] - Dry spinning rolls - Cutting tool materials for heat-resistant alloy processing - Hot extrusion molds - Hot forging molds For more details, please download the PDF or contact us!

[Application Example] Casting Equipment Parts - Silicon Nitride Ceramics

We propose the use of the crack-resistant ceramic "silicon nitride" for extending the lifespan of casting equipment components.

Ceramics have excellent wear resistance compared to metals and are lightweight materials. Among them, silicon nitride ceramics are used in various industrial equipment due to their resistance to cracking and high mechanical strength at elevated temperatures. Our silicon nitride products include the standard SNP02 and the enhanced SNP03, which offers greater fracture toughness and bending strength. Please consider our silicon nitride for solving issues such as melting, wear, and thermal shock damage in casting equipment parts. Nippon Fine Ceramics Co., Ltd. is a comprehensive manufacturer of various ceramics and metal-ceramic composite materials. If you have any concerns regarding equipment design, component design, thermal design, etc., please feel free to consult us.
